On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, the Omanhene of Akyem-Abuakwa traditional area, his sub chiefs and elders honoured GREL with a visit to familiarize themselves with the operations of GREL.  Their visit took them to parts of the Division One plantation, the processing factory and the Rubber Outgrower plantation unit.

The Osagyefo expressed satisfaction about GREL and amongst other things opined that the business of GREL is on top of Environmental Sustainability. This according to him is because the rubber plantation activities help prevent exploitative practices to the environment unlike galamsey which degrades the environment.

During a brief meeting and interaction with members of ACLANGO, Osagyefo Amoatia indicated that he was departing with fond memories of GREL. He used the occasion to entreat Nananom to help support GREL in its quest to continuously make decisions that protect the natural world for future generations.  He also pledged his support and commended the company greatly for its CSR projects and for making its operational areas a better place.
