GREL and the Environment

It is said and believed that when the last tree dies, the last man will die on this earth. This statement encourages us to protect and handle our environment with care. Not only do we need to protect the forest and desist from felling our trees thus destroying the forest reserves but also we have to invest into the protection of our waters, air, the climate and the noise.

GREL Honours Best Farmers

AWUDUA, the district capital of the Prestea Huni Valley District was yesterday 02 November 2012, a centre of agricultural crops displays. Almost all farmers converged to the city of Awudua where the farmers -day was celebrated.

 

Securing Our Future Against Food Insecurity

 

As the industrial development is based on large-scale, export oriented agriculture which is tied to international competition, stock market speculation and self interest, results in volatility of food prices and food insecurity. With over a billion people going hungry each day despite industrial food production, a reorientation towards more localized, small holder and sustainable agriculture is urgently required to address this food insecurity.
